From an on-going analysis of
Assessment/Development Centers which Atieh Roshan has conducted,
results show that the training managers and professionals have
received in Iran has not improved their competencies, knowledge base
or work performance.
There are two reasons for this:
1) Training needs have not been assessed accurately
2) No
proper evaluation of the training has been conducted
both prior to and following the
training period
Although companies usually allocate
substantial budgets to learning and development, however many times,
the objectives and outcomes of training or learning are not met and
this poses a cost rather than ROI to employers.
